BedrockMap ("we", "us", or "our") operates the BedrockMap.net website. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information we receive from users of the site.
Information Collection and Use
While using our site, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. This may include:
- Email address
- Username
- Minecraft world files you choose to upload
- Usage data and analytics
Uploaded World Files
When you upload Minecraft world files to BedrockMap, we process and store these files to generate map visualizations. We treat your world data as confidential and do not share it with third parties. You retain all ownership rights to your uploaded content.
Discord
If you connect Discord to your account or sign in with it, we keep your Discord user id and the email address Discord gives us, so we know which BedrockMap account is yours. We look up your Discord name and picture to show you who is connected.
If you add the BedrockMap bot to a Discord server and show a map there, we keep the server's id, name and icon, which map is shown there and who linked it, and the channel you chose for map-updated posts. The bot only answers its own commands: it does not read or keep the messages people send in the server. Removing the bot from a server, or removing the map from it in your world's settings, deletes these.
Cookies
We use cookies to maintain your session and improve your experience on our site. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our site.
Security
The security of your personal information is important to us. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Third-Party Services
We may employ third-party companies and individuals to facilitate our service, provide the service on our behalf, or assist us in analyzing how our service is used. These third parties may have access to your personal information only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
Data Retention
We will retain your personal information and uploaded world files for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.
On the Free plan, a map nobody has viewed for 60 days is removed at 90 days, and an account nobody has signed in to for 180 days is removed, with everything in it, at 210 days. We email the account's address at least 30 days before either happens; viewing the map or signing in keeps it. Premium maps and accounts are not removed for being unused.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal information
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Export your data
- Withdraw consent for data processing
Children's Privacy
Our service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating its effective date.
